Mindfulness Day Retreat

Be immersed in mindfulness during a one-day city retreat.

In this one-day city retreat you will experience the benefits of mindfulness. Mindfulness is an ancient technique for gaining self-awareness that is becoming increasingly accepted by Western science as it has been shown to reduce stress, enhance emotional wellbeing and improve health.

During the retreat you will practise exercises that can be easily incorporated into your daily activities. You will learn techniques to:

  • Develop a clearer, calmer and more focused mind
  • Develop the ability to make better choices
  • Improve the quality of life
  • Achieve more joy and contentment
  • Deal with health issues in a more positive way

Deise is a psychologist who has been practising and teaching meditation for over 22 years and has herself experienced and seen in others the many benefits resulting from the practice of mindfulness.

Where: Swanbourne-Nedlands Surf Life Saving Club (282 Marine Parade)

Meals: Morning tea, light lunch and afternoon tea

What to bring: Comfortable and weather appropriate clothes (to lie down on the floor and go outdoors), plus a mat/blanket

Cost: $290 per person, in a group of 4 to 10 participants
